The methods I use at Capital LifeWorks are designed to help you achieve the level of self-awareness and commitment you need to affect positive changes in your life and to actually start managing your life. The methods are centered around you and I creating a co-creative partnership that is completely focused on YOU and what YOU want for YOUR life.

Using cognitive behavioral techniques involving specific questioning and listening skills, I elicit your self-introspection to enhance your self-awareness. As a result, you learn to:

  • Focus your thinking
  • Recognize and eliminate negative thought and behavior patterns
  • Acquire a healthier perspective
  • Consider all the life choices that are actually available to you
  • Consider the changes you may want make in your life
  • Decide on the changes you want to make in your life

At the same time we are working together to clarify and catalyze your thinking, we also strategizing on developing tasks and exercise that will strength your commitment to manage your life by requiring you to:

  • Apply your new way of thinking to your daily life
  • Engage in new behaviors
  • Move beyond perceived barriers
  • Gain confidence in your ability to make changes
  • Develop a plan of action regarding the changes you want to make
  • Set specific, reasonable, realistic goals to implement changes
  • Actually achieve those goals

Throughout the process, YOU are the person who decides the changes to make in your life and the direction you want your life to go in. I serve as your collaborative partner offering guidance and support, and helping to keep you focused and motiviated. I am also responsible for holding you accountable to yourself as you uncover your true potential. As co-creative partners, I help you acquire the tools you need to manage your life, but it is up to you to use them.
